Barizta is an AI-powered specialty coffee guide. We collect only the information needed to provide the app's core features, improve reliability, and support your account.
Information We Use
- Account information — your email address and basic account details for sign-in and support.
- App content — chats, recipe requests, gear preferences, scans, and images you choose to save or send. We do not use chat messages for logging, telemetry, or troubleshooting.
- Camera access — used only when you choose to scan coffee, gear, or related items.
- Location — used when you ask Barizta to find nearby coffee shops. We do not store location history.
We do not sell your personal information or use your private app content for advertising.
AI Processing
Barizta uses Google Gemini and Gemma 4 models to analyze coffee-related text and images, generate recommendations, and support chat features. Content you submit may be sent to these AI services for processing.
AI processing is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We send only what is needed to provide the requested feature.
Storage & Retention
Barizta uses AWS for authentication, app data, and file storage. If you create an account and save chats, those chats are stored in AWS DynamoDB and associated with your authenticated user ID. Access to saved chat data is restricted so only the user ID that created the data can access it through the app; Y337 does not have access to saved chat contents through the app and does not use saved chat contents for logging, telemetry, or troubleshooting. Your saved chats, preferences, and images remain associated with your account until you delete them or request account deletion.
Your Choices
- You can deny camera or location permissions and still use other app features.
- You can delete saved sessions in the app.
- You can request full account deletion by contacting us.
Children's Privacy
Barizta is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as Barizta evolves. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page.
